Sprint Automatic Payment System Remains Down
I think it’s been over a year since the automatic payment system on the Sprint website was last functional.
If you attempt to sign up for (or even modify) automatic payments using your credit card, you get a typical error message that points to customer service.
Upon calling Sprint to work out the problem, I was told that the system engineers were working on the issue.
I’ve called about three or four times in the past year to explain this issue, and each time I’ve been told that they’re working on it.
Seems a bit strange that such a huge issue would go on unresolved for over a year, especially something as important as payment options.
The automatic payment via checking account has also been unavailable, leaving one-time payments as the only viable online payment option.
I knew Sprint had terrible customer service, much of it outsourced to India where cultural barriers make it very difficult to discuss complex or even simple problems, but this is too much.
If for any reason a Sprint customer had to switch their method of payment, they would seemingly be unable to do so until this problem gets resolved.
This poses a serious issue to customers who want to retain a solid payment history and avoid any possible late fees and credit score dings.
Fix it Sprint.
