0% APR Credit Card for 15 months!
Published December 15th, 2006 in Credit Help and Tips.You can get the Blue from American Express credit Card with “0% APR for 15 months” on purchases, which is the longest 0% APR period I’ve seen anywhere. Typically new credit card offers come with 6-12 months of 0% introductory APR.
This is a great deal if you plan on making a good amount of purchases this year, but you’d like to slowly pay it back over the 15 months.
It’s offered by American Express, and has no annual fee plus the advantages of a Platinum credit card and their extensive reward program.
The only downside to this card is the APR on balance transfers isn’t 0%, but rather 4.99% APR, though it is fixed for the life of the loan balance. A standard balance transfer fee will also be applied, the greater of $10 or 3% of the transaction, up to $75.
It appears that every credit card company now charges for balance transfers, even Citi Cards that used to offer balance transfers with no fee.
Either way, it’s an offer worth looking at if you want 0% APR for 15 months, and plenty of time to pay off your credit card balance.
